Continuing Ed: NIMS/ICS & Live Scan
In order to be on the Call-out status you must complete your NIMS/ICS & Live Scan.
As a call-out member of the Garden Grove CERT, you will have additional opportunities to assist first responders in an event of a disaster/emergency in our city as well as surrounding cities if we are activated.
Garden Grove also provides hands-on training for 1st Aid, traffic/crowd control, and radio communication at various festivals throughout the year (Tet, Strawberry, etc..)
We encourage you to attend and complete your requirements to become a call-out memeber. |

Refresher: 1st Aid (for Strawberry Festival)
GG CERT has been requested to "man" the first-aid station at the Annual Strawberry Festival. Our duties will included: radio monitoring & use, scouting & area assessment for minor first aid situations, minor first aid, and documentation.
The Festival runs from Friday, May 25, 2012 - Monday, May 28, 2012; at Village Green/Courtyard across from Garden Grove High School/Garden Grove Libary.
This opportunity is open to all Garden Grove CERT Members. Please keep in mind though, if you sign up for this training/call-out, you must be an active CERT member and attend one of the two mandatory refresher trainings on May 16, 2012 (6:30pm - 9:30pm or May 19, 2012 )(9am -12noon)at Garden Grove Police Department (11301 Acacia Pkwy, Garden Grove 92842) |

Strawberry Festival Parade
CERT will be part of the parade. We will be show case our trailer. There is limited seating in/on the fire truck. If you wish to have a place to sit please rsvp early; otherwise you are more than welcome to walk alongside the trailer/fire truck.
The parade route begins on Ninth St. and will end at in front of the Garden Grove Library.
This event is open to all Garden Grove CERT members. If you would like to be part of the parade please contact Van Vu.
An email will be sent out prior to the event with more information. |
